What separates the third release from the New Orleans Klezmer All-Stars is that whereas the two previous releases included traditional klezmer tunes, Fresh Out the Past contains all original music. This album was produced by Joe Ferry who is most notably known for producing records for the Skatalites. It is no wonder that the Klezmers were voted by Downbeat Magazine as being one of the top ten bands more deserving of wider recognition.
